Test cell drive shafts by “Union Shafts” combine robustness with cost effective design:

• The preferred installation direction is to mount the damper to the engine. If the allowed overhung load of the dynometer accepts the damper weight, the installation with the damper at the dynometer is also possible.

• CV-shafts provide a large amount of longitudinal, angular and axial displacement without adding any higher order speed or torque fluctuations to the drive shaft.
  
• “Union Shafts” couplings are available at different stiffness configurations, which are clearly recognizable by the colour.
